“I am passionate about helping people restore and maintain balance in their lives. I enjoy teaching them more about their bodies, the benefits of healthy movement and everyday mindfulness. I strive to create a comfortable, safe and nurturing environment as a yoga teacher and as a massage therapist.”
I enjoy teaching alignment based Vinyasa, Therapeutic and Restorative Yoga. The calming effects of breathwork and meditation are a central focus of my Yoga teaching. My classes integrate over 25 years of movement experience including my background as a Licensed Massage Therapist and in Dance, Somatic Movement, Pilates and Fitness. I received my primary Yoga training between 1996-1999 under the mentorship of Rodney Yee at The Piedmont Yoga Studio. While living in Northern California for 17 years I had the opportunity to study with many senior Yoga teachers in a variety of traditions. I hold an additional 500 hour certification with The Hard and The Soft Yoga Institute under the mentorship of Beryl Bender Birch. In addition, I am a faculty member with The Hard and The Soft Yoga Institutes teacher training at Heartsong Yoga Center in East Longmeadow, MA.
